Peace Day 

Join us on bank holiday Monday 28th May 2018 to celebrate Peace Day at the Flamingo House. Relax in the garden and listen to enchanting live music by Zimbaremabwe and the Vegan buskers, enjoy some delicious plant-based food and earn some good Karma points by shopping for beautiful Art & unique gifts as the Flamingo House will be donating half of its profits to Peace Direct. Tom Petkus at the Flamingo House 

The poignant and striking compositions of Lithuanian photographer Tom Petkus will be revealed at the Flamingo House & Studio in May. 

His stunning black and white female portraits evoke a sense of timeless beauty and sadness, while the rest of his work implores the viewer to delve deeper.

Open from 11am-6pm on 5,  6, 7, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 & 28th May 2018


Fun for all the family

Want to do something fun with the family during the Brighton Festival? Hove is the place to be.

Hove Arts is a collective of 22 venues including some award winning homes & gardens, Art galleries, tattoo parlour, 5 star hotel and artist studios. Part of the Artist Open House festival, these venues offer free entry and opens their doors to the public every weekend in May including bank holiday Mondays.
This part of town has pioneered its popularity with families, as children of all ages travel through the trail with a Hove Trotters passport, answering quizzes along the way. Collect enough stickers and trade them in for a FREE hot chocolate and book voucher at the Book Nook.
At the Flamingo House, discover fun activities like face painting, pineapple decorating & live music as well as delicious healthy food served among the palm trees. Other venues have fantastic demonstrations and educational workshops, so everyone can enjoy the Art and a relaxed and unique shopping experience.

We're on TV!



We were smitten and honoured to be chosen as the venue to represent the Artists Open Houses this year, although we might have lost a pink feather or two from flapping about when the camera crew turned up talking about broadcasting LIVE on TV...

What's behind the wall? 

Intrigued by what's been hiding behind the wall over the past 3 weeks? The Flamingo House will be unveiling it's ultimate piece this weekend. 'The Calumet' by local Artist Pierre Bamin brings a breath of fresh air during these tumultuous times.


An innovative work of Art comprised of 2 inspiring paintings set back to back on a revolutionary swivel frame allowing the owner-to-be the choice to display either side.

Come and celebrate AFRICA DAY with us on Sunday 21st May.

Sit back among the sculptures & palm trees and enjoy the African vibes at the Flamingo House & Garden. We’ve teamed up with some incredible people to host our very own special event called ‘Africa Day’.


With so much conflict in the world, we need to bring Peace to the fore while delivering a creative feast for all the senses. Our aim is to bring awareness to our visitors, which is why we will be working closely with Peace Direct who support people to stop wars, conflict, violence and build peace, one person at a time.

Live action painting from Sierra Leonean guest artist Pierre Baminwhose stunning paintings will be exhibited in the main room.


Kunaka stone have brought a wonderful selection of sculptures from Zimbabwe to be displayed in our garden and help the artists share their fine talents in the UK.
