Lauren makes playful jewellery, accessories and homewareswith retro leanings for the bold and the beautiful.
Centred around the mirror ball, her work is about glamour and fun, disco and joy. She loves sparkle and believes (as her five-year-old niece stated) “There’s always space for sparkle!”
Lauren re-started creating jewellery again after discovering items at The Scrap Space (www.weareoverthemoon.org) Repurposing discarded items is a key part of her process and enjoys the unique items this leads to.
She hopes that by buying her work, people will feel that they have received a present; when wearing it, they will feelspecial.
Mid-life comes with its downsides, but one upside is caring less about what other (boring?) people may think and enjoying life for all it has to offer. Everyone is creative and should be encouraged to create so 10% of all profits go to Off the Fence’s Gateway Women’s Centre in Brighton.
Lauren’s jewellery reflects her as a person. From big, bold and party-ready, through colourful, silly and fun, to tiny, delicate and (dare we say?) classy. Ready for all the neuro-spicy moods.
